He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Meissen and Marie Meissen (Place) of Durand, Illinois.; and his son Warren. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his sons, Francis Meissen (Esther) of Albertville, Alabama, Carl Meissen (Patty) of Durand, Wayne (Ruth) of Roscoe, Illinois and Alan Meissen of Durand, Illinois; and his siblings, Marvin Meissen (Patty), Sue Richter (Marvin) and Carolyn Panoske (Steve). He is also survived by six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorial donations in Don's name be made to the Durand Area Food Pantry, Durand, Illinois.
