She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Brogdon and Louise Brogdon (Cimossa); her husband George R. Sims; and her siblings-in-law, Horace Gene Sims and Kay Daily.
She is survived by: her children, David Sims (Peggy) of DuQuoin, IL, Danny Sims (Kathy) of DuQuoin, IL and Beth Pyatt (Kevin) of Pinckneyville, IL; her grandchildren, Keith Sims (Ruth), Craig Sims (Grace), Dylan Shook, Bailey Shira (Mitchell), Julie Crockett (Thomas), James Pyatt, Richel Biby (Kevin) and Jana Trigg; her great grandchildren, Sasha Mozelewski, Kyle Sims, Kolby Sims, Isabella Sims, Olivia Sims, Preston Sims, Grant Biby, Garrett Biby, Remi Trigg, Lyda Crockett and Vivian Shira; and her siblings-in-law, Cecil Daily and Betty Moss. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to health concerns related to the Covid-19 virus and by the signing of executive order by Governor J. B. Pritzker, attendance will be limited and social distancing will be enforced.
