With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Juanita Beatrice Garrett of DuQuoin, Illinois, born in Fieldon, Illinois, who passed away on July 17, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Leslie and Freda Ayres (McCoy); her husband Edwin Storm Garrett; her daughter Elaine; her siblings, Hazel Wallace (Bud), Vernon Ayres (Babe), Raymond Ayres (Connie), Emma Ayres, Everett Ayres (Levetta), Marietta Ayres and Harold Ayres (Emilie); and her brother-in-law Hap Oliver.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Garrett (Sonya) of Redmond, WA, Steve Garrett of Bothell, WA, Debbie Simonson (Gary) of Fort Worth, TX and Judy Norbut (Mike) of Dowell, IL.; her great grandchildren, Justin Garrett (Julia), Ellie and Austin; her grandchildren, Carrie Huseman (Stephen), Crew, Sawyer, Avery, Audrey Lanzer (Bill), Brinn, Cora, Lesley Wachsmann (Adam Hartmann), Isaac Storm, Paige Bell (Matt), Ezra, Zoe Beatrice, Bryan Norbut (Angela), Liam, Abraham, Shiloh, Salem, Sophia, Sloane, Nick Norbut (Julianna), Malik, Asher, Tharyn and Gwendolyn; her great grandchildren, Lauren House (Zac), Henry, Stella, Ruby and Alice; her stepgrandchildren, Mike Simonson (Kimberly), Kinley and Keaton; and her siblings, Ernie Ayres (Barb) of Jerseyville, Grace Oliver of Jerseyville, Phyllis Haynes (Gary) of Jerseyville and Mary Cresswell (Ron) of Elsah. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
