He was predeceased by: his parents, MaryAnn Helbig and Robert Helbig. He is survived by: his children, Julia and Myers; his stepson Michael Peck; and his siblings, Julie Zipfel (Scott), Mary Nardi (Drew), Joe Helbig (Gina) and Bob Helbig (Melissa).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) to help support the fight against this disease that he faced with such courage.
