She was predeceased by: her husband Orval Dean "Bud" Carter; her son Robert Carter; and her parents, Edgar and Zella C.. She is survived by: her children, Paula Barber and Jamie Carter (Rose); her grandchildren, Kelly Molinario, Alexandra "Ali" Carter, Robert N. Barber, Jr. and Derek Carter; her great grandchildren, Aiden Carter, Nicholas Barber, Jude Molinario and Taylor O'harrow; her siblings, Paula Harrison, Roger Stanhouse, Jimmie Stanhouse, Gary Stanhouse and Donald Stanhouse; and her uncle Paul Wingfield. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to First Baptist Church Audio/Video Fund.
