With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rosemary Dersch of Dunlap, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Rosemary left this world on February 6, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Waugh and Marie Waugh (O'Connor); and her husband Roger Dersch. She is survived by: her children, Steven Dersch of St. Charles, MO, Barbara Bellinaso (Bruno) of Crystal Lake, IL, Lynn Betts (Kevin) of Port Orange, FL and Christine Calcaterra (Craig) of Fort Mill, SC; her grandchildren, Ross, Reid, Nolan, Andy, Jack and Sydney; her niece Sue Blasco; and her nephews, Jay Woodward, Tim Runkle and Lex Passaris.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Church (10811 Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61615). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Preferred memorials in Rosemary's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choosing.

“Rosie has been our neighbor for over two years. We have enjoyed getting to know her so much. She was fun and loving and thoughtful and was like family. We admired her independence and loved sitting on her deck having a cocktail with her during summer happy hours. Her quilt-making was an amazing talent and those will become very special heirlooms for her family and friends. We will miss her so much! Our thoughts and prayers are with all of her family.
