He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Wetzel and Dorothy Wetzel; and his parents-in-law, Vince, Tiffany Cain, Martin Murray and Dale Oakley.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Cain; his children, Mary Jo Ghighi (Paul) of Peoria, Karen Callahan (Bruce) of Peoria, Michael Wetzel (Lisa) of Peoria, Christy Sullivan of Peoria and John Wetzel (Gina) of Peoria; his brother John Wetzel (Aggie) of Oceanside, CA.; and his parents-in-law, Dick Cain (Sue) of Peoria, IL, D. P. Cain (Sharie) of Peoria, IL, Sheila Oakley of Windermere, FL and Kathleen Murray of Niles, IL.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, or the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate at OSF Children's Hospital of Illinois.
