She was predeceased by: her father Norbert Fandel; her uncle Pros; and her brother David Norbert. She is survived by: her children, Angela Faulkner and Steven Faulkner (Wendy); her grandchildren, Ave Thomas and Caitlyn Faulkner; her siblings, Helen Vicare (Jerry), Betty Phillips (Mike), Mike Fandel (Jan) and Geri Hammer (Rick); and her pets, Max, Emma, Callie, Cleo and Carrie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In honor of her love for animals, donations may be made in her memory to Peoria County Animal Protection Services (PCAPS), 2600 NE Perry Avenue, Peoria, IL 61603, or online at https://www.peoriacounty.gov, where she adopted her cat, Callie.
