She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Sheridan and Dorothy McNeair, Sr. (Taylor); her friends, Senators Roland Burris, Dick Durbin and Ambassador Carol Mosley Braun; her children, Felicia Barnes of Leicestershire, VA, Additrica "Addie" McGee (Casey) of Galesburg, IL, De'Trina "Dedei" Scicslowicz of Kansas City, MO, Pamella Bess-Tabb (Nolan T.) of Galesburg, IL, Denise Bess Pierson of Peoria, IL and John Bess, Jr. (Haley) of Ft. Madison, IA; and her brother Joseph McNeair of Peoria. She was also cherished by 20 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
