He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Zarley and Vivian Zarley (Berger); and his brothers, Bob Zarley and Jerry Zarley. He is survived by: his wife Marie Grogg; his daughters, Angie Ardis (John) of Naperville, Susie Hansen (Rob) of Plainfield and Alicia Heinzmann (Dave) of Oak Park; his grandchildren, Lexi Ardis, Emily Ardis, Ben Ardis, Lanie Hansen, Sam Hansen, Francis Heinzmann and Andrew Heinzmann; and his brothers, Ken Zarley of Palmdale, Ron Zarley of Peoria and Jim Zarley of Las Vegas, Nevada..
