He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George J. Higgins and Claire G. Higgins (Wellens); his wife Margaret Ann Murphy; his children, David Higgins (Bobbie) of Gig Harbor, WA, Don Higgins (Michelle) of Mapleton, IL., Jean Spence (Robb) of Omaha, NE, Janet Hampton (Trent) of Liberty, MO and Julie Koh (David) of Bloomington, IL.; and his brother George J. "Jim" Higgins of Kansas City. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jerry's name may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church or to Friends of the Peoria Public Library.
