He is survived by: his mother Arlene Wright Burns; his children, Eric Burns (Erin) of Chicago, Ryan Burns of Madison, WI and David Burns of Peoria; and his siblings, John Burns (Dodie) of Peoria, Dennis Burns of Manito, IL, Patrice Aaires of Glendale, CA, Bonnie Donley of Delavan, Sharon Burns of Littleton, CO, Deb Bloomfield (Darin) of Wyoming, IL, Raymond Burns (Tania) of Palm Bay, FL, Allen Burns (Sally) of Holland, MI, Jeanette Burns of Bartonville, IL and Ronald Burns (Molly) of Brimfield, IL. He is also survived by 60 nieces and nephews.
