She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Reeves and Margaret Reeves (Freeman); her parents-in-law, Theodore and Joyce Stitzel; her sister-in-law Nancy Stitzel; and her dachshund Oscar.

She is survived by: her husband Daniel J. Stitzel; her sons, Benjamin Stitzel (Ashely Layton) of Metamora and Peter Stitzel (Phylicia); her grandchildren, Isaac, Stella and Emma Stitzel; her sons, Harmony Stitzel, Peighton, Preston Layton, Aiden and Jace Little; her siblings, David Reeves (Jacquelyn) and Nancy Steves (David) of Collins; her nephews, Adam (Arielle Holmes) and Trevor Steves (Kimberly); her niece Emily Steves; her great-niece Hadley; her great-nephew Paxton Steves; and also Samantha Little (Brandon) of East Peoria.

A faithful parishioner at Prospect United Methodist Church until diagnosis, Barbara continued to attend via online services throughout the pandemic until the time of her death.
