Dean Smallwood Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smallwood and Mary Smallwood (Graham); his wife Joan E. Storer; his siblings, Summers Marion Smallwood (Eleanor), Marie Zella Duffek (Jack), William Graham Smallwood (Marie), Helen Elaine Allen (Glenn), Kenneth Duane Smallwood, Donald Lynn Smallwood (Marybelle) and Harold Gene Smallwood (Jeannie); and his son-in-law Daniel Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Clinton Smallwood (Janet) of Nora Springs, Iowa, Carla Patterson (Craig) of Olney, IL, Wendy Johnson of Flora, IL and Glenda Croegaert (Paul) of Richmond, TX; his grandchildren, Mark (Jessica), Joshua (Christi), Jacob Smallwood and Hunter Johnson; his great grandchildren, Camerin Childers (Andrew), Calieb, Kathaleen, Kaileigh, Clinton Dean Smallwood, Caidence Carter, Abby, Wyatt, Audrey, Jon, Charly and Ava Smallwood; and his sister-in-law Donna Smallwood. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home (205 E Elm St, Olney, IL 62450). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Good Samaritan of Richland County, or the Senior Citizens Center of Olney, IL.
