Brooks of Du Quoin, Illinois, born in Perry, Illinois, who passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hallie Brooks and Elva Arleen Brooks (Wilks); his former wife Charlene Neville; his daughter Virginia Turner; and his granddaughters, Shianne Turner and LeAnn Trueblood.

He is survived by: his wife Bonita Wampler; his son-in-law Gary Turner of Johnston City, IL; and his brother Robert A. Brooks (Marilyn) of Tamaroa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
