He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil B. Harris and Juanita Harris (Roach); and his siblings, Elmer Harris, Johnny Harris and Virginia Zimmerman.

He is survived by: his wife Doris May Colp; his children, Billy Harris (Sandra) of Plainfield, IL, Patricia Sutton (Gregory) of North Aurora, IL and Kurt Harris (Angela) of Du Quoin; his grandchildren, Samantha Plummer (Jeremy), Steven Harris (Emily), Christopher Sutton, Jesse Sutton, Justine Schillinger (Thomas), Blayne Robert Harris, Peyton Bathon, Maggie Harris and Luke Spafford; his great grandchildren, Jacob Plummer, Kylee Plummer, Lilah Harris, Spencer Schillinger, Tyler Schillinger, Oliver Schillinger, Ophelia Harris, River William Harris and Sonny Harris; and his siblings, Clara Miller (Ed), Tom Harris and Richard Harris (Deborah). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
