He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde T. Carter and Lillian J. Carter (Davis); and his sister Doris Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Gaetz; his son Frank T. Taylor of Marion; his granddaughter Riley Faith Taylor of Campbell Hill; his half-sisters, Linda Goddard of Sparta, Janet Greenwood of Willisville and Kathy Hagene (John) of Mulkeytown; and his stepbrother Loren Craig of Willisville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may make memorials to Leukemia Foundation, Hospice of Southern Illinois or SIH Cancer Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
