She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Barnard and Ruth Barnard (Peddicord); and her brothers, Dale Barnard (Kay) and David Paul Barnard (Joyce). She is survived by: her husband Richard M. Zimmerman; her son Dr. Richard Wayne Zimmerman (Michelle) of Du Quoin; her grandchildren, Alex Zimmerman of Du Quoin, Max Zimmerman of Du Quoin, Drew Bennett of Arizona and Anthony Bennett (Taylor) of Pinckneyville; her great grandchildren, Austen Bennett and Rory Bennett; and her brother Bob Barnard of Cisne, IL..

Friends may make memorials to Du Quoin High School Baseball Team and will be accepted at the funeral home.
