With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby G. Hartje of Du Quoin, Illinois, who passed away on December 21, 2021 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur B. H. and Agnes Dietrich (Groh); her husband William R. Hartje; her grandson David William Bayles; and her brother Edgar Dietrich.

She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Ann Croessman (John) of Okawville, IL; her grandchildren, Angela Nelson (Brian) of Okawville, Alex Croessman (Brittany) of Okawville, Andrew Croessman of Austin, TX and Shane Boyett of Du Quoin; her great grandchildren, Sydney Pollmann (Trevor) of Carlyle, Emily Boyett of Du Quoin, Jacob Boyett of Du Quoin, Evelyn Croessman of Okawville and Caroline Croessman of Okawville; her great great grandchildren, Lexi of Carlyle and Reid of Carlyle; and her sister Arlene Havin of St. Clair, MO. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
