Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Robert Flavell Appuhn (Du Quoin, Illinois), who passed away at the age of 76, on February 9, 2025. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Robert Flavell may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Appuhn (Cotton) and Mary Olive Appuhn (Flavell). He is survived by: his daughter Katharine Ellen (Aaron Hodges); his wife Jan; his grandchildren, Macara, Amia and DJ; and his siblings, Nonnie Flavell and Bill (Virginia). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM and on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
