He is survived by: his daughters, Bobbi McRoy of Du Quoin and Lynna Alderson (Barry) of Du Quoin; his grandchildren, Breanna Shafer (Caleb) of Bluford, Scout Davis (Pearson) of Arizona, Alexis Ruck (Adam) of Chicago, Cody Mitchell of Tennessee and Tristin Mitchell (Deion Butler); his great grandchildren, Hazel Shafer, Parker Shafer of Emanuelle Butler, A. J and Ava Ruck; and his siblings, William P. Bytnar (Pam) of Phoenix, AZ, Donald Bytnar (Debbie) of DeSoto and Debbie Kostecki (James) of Carterville.

Friends may make memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
