Ramona L. Melvin Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ramona L. Melvin of Du Quoin, Illinois, born in Princeton, Minnesota, who passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Godfrey V. Heisler and Effie I. Heisler (Wark); her husband Bernard Dean Melvin; and her siblings, Gerald Heisler, Joyce Truchinski, Jeanette Dobs and Dorothy Heisler.

She is survived by: her sons, Marc Melvin (Karen) of Du Quoin, Michael Melvin (Sarah) of Du Quoin and Dr. John Melvin (Cindy) of Du Quoin; and her grandchildren, Jason Melvin (Lindsay) of Miramar Beach, FL, Jennifer Crain (Jordan) of Du Quoin, Rachel Offutt (Cameron) of Du Quoin, Risdon Melvin (Clara) of Du Quoin, Matthew Heckel (Tammy) of Maryland Heights, MO and Laura Reynolds (Rob) of Carterville. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
