With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Pauline Carrothers (Du Quoin, Illinois), born in Gorham, Illinois, who passed away on March 31, 2018 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Andrew and Nellie Marie Modglin (Bittle); her children, Terry Carrothers and LaDonna Koonce; her siblings, Betty Davis and Charles "Jack" Modglin; her grandson Daryl Gassel; and her great grandchild Kaiden Walters.

She is survived by: her spouse Jimmy Carrothers; her children, Rodney Carrothers (Ruth) of Du Quoin, Jeffrey Carrothers of Du Quoin, Linda Gassel of Du Quoin and Gaila Self (Jason) of Carbondale; her children-in-law, Mary Miller of Mayfield, KY and William Koonce of Du Quoin; and her sister Sarah Jane Webster of McAllister, OK. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
