He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel Stowers and Edna Stowers (Morris); and his siblings, John Stowers, William Stowers, James Stowers, Donald Stowers, Dorothy Rucks, Cora Ridgeway, Eva Elledge and Stella Stowers.
He is survived by: his wife Sheryl C. Woodsides; his children, Paul E. Stowers (Sherry Dee) of Du Quoin and Shelly File (Shawn) of Du Quoin; his grandchildren, Shelby Warren (Jon) of Dowell, Delainey File of Du Quoin, Elijah File of Du Quoin, Caitney File of Du Quoin and Beckett File of Du Quoin; his great grandchild James Warren of Dowell; and his siblings, Clarence Stowers of Du Quoin, Joseph Stowers of Du Quoin, Velma Harsy of Du Quoin and Patsy Williams of Hendersonville, TN..
Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society, First Baptist Church in Du Quoin, or American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
