It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mona Raye Rees of Du Quoin, Illinois, who passed away on January 20, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Melvin and Eunice Melvin (Holland); her husband Paul Rees; and her brothers, James W. Melvin, Tex Melvin and Eddie Poe Melvin.

She is survived by: her former husband Wilfred "Bill" Harsy; her children, Debra Bilderback of Du Quoin, Roger Harsy (Launa) of Du Quoin, Danny Harsy (Debra) of Du Quoin and Billie Jo Green (Carl) of Tamaroa; her grandchildren, Amy James (Brian), Austin Lee, Chad Harsy (Angela), Jason Harsy, Shannon Harsy, Stephanie Harsy (Roger McCollum), Bubba Harsy, Sarah McKinnies (Chase), Jonathan Harsy, Jordan Harsy, Jacqueline Harsy, Jessica Harsy, Haley Harsy, Katey Harsy, Kloey Harsy, Jaime Smith (Ryan), Scott Green (Kelsei), Emily King (Tori) and Ethan Green (Cierra); and her cousin Ruby Porter of Du Quoin. She is also survived by twenty-eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
