She was predeceased by: her parents, George Ervin and Mary Beulah Pratt (Kirkwood); and her husband Jessie Leon James. She is survived by: her children, Danny Brickley of Lonoke, AR, Anthony James (Penny) of Vergennes, Jesse James (Donna) of Du Quoin, Teresa Bowlin (Kenny) of Du Quoin, Jimmy James (Maria) of Van Buren, AR, Mike James of Du Quoin, Robin James Brawdy (Tim) of Muldrow, OK, Sheila Johnston of Du Quoin, Carolyn Boss (Phillip) of Cambria and Frank James (Gretchen) of Du Quoin; and her sisters, Betty, Susie, Louise, Nancy and Glenda. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Friends may make memorials to Old Du Quoin Baptist Church, Alzheimer's Association, or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
