She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hess and Julia Hess (Woll); her siblings, John "Zip" Hess, Henry "Dinner" Hess, Lena Leidenheimer, Elizabeth Smith and Marie Archer; her nephews, Ronald Wheatley, Harold Leidenheimer and Douglas Archer; her niece-in-law Shirley Archer; and her nephew-in-law Benjie Gibbs.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Jim Hess (Barbara) of Greenwood, IN, Joan Proia (Gil) of Mascoutah, IL, Betty Trudeau (Bob) of Johnston City, TN, Francis Archer (Janet) of Decatur, IL, Loretta Tankersley (Bill) of Argenta, IL, Roy Archer of Du Quoin, Ruth Ann Bigham (Tom) of Du Quoin, Marie Hinton (Wayne) of Gillespie, IL, Gary Archer (Marjorie) of Jeffersonville, IN and June Gibbs of Du Quoin.
