She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Montroy and Dorothy Montroy (Davis); her husband Junior Lee Vernum; her sisters, Mary Lee Buergin (Bob), Darlene Ruth Bowling (Dan), Shirley Ann Roosken (Hank) and Norma Jean Kirk (Roger); and her pet Max.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Lee Vernum (Mary) of Grand Rapids, MI, Jill Ann Molina (Armando) of Du Quoin and Stacey Lynn Staycoff (Steve Gray); her stepson Dan Tilley Jr. (Amber) of Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, Justin Lee Burnett, Zachary Lee Vernum, Christopher Lee Staycoff, Andrew Joseph Vernum, Katherine Ann Blazo, Ian Michael Tilley, Trinity Faith Ann Tilley, Chloe Lynn Speck and Logan Alexander Tilley; her pets, Jerry and Daisy; and also Linda Whitman (Bill) of Du Quoin. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Searby Funeral Home (130 S Washington St, Du Quoin, IL 62832). A Mass was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (100 W Main St, Du Quoin, IL 62832).
Friends may make memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
