It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorene O'Rourke of Du Quoin, Illinois, born in Buckner, Illinois, who passed away on December 9, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike Porro and Bernice Porro (Cockram); her husband James H. O'Rourke; and her grandchildren, Jamie Lorene Furlow and Dustin Wade Furlow.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Furlow (Lester) of Du Quoin and David O'Rourke (Kathy) of Du Quoin; her grandchildren, Sean Furlow (Iwona) of Bloomingdale, Jason Furlow (Rebecca) of Du Quoin, Blake Furlow (Sarah) of Du Quoin, David S. O'Rourke (Joanne) of Du Quoin, Angie Shively of Du Quoin, Josie Blasdel (Justin) of O'Fallon, IL and Brandie Smally (David) of O'Fallon, MO; and her sisters, JoAnn Slack of Zeigler, Sara Bean of Mt. Vernon, Kathy Hankins of Marion and Marlene Wolfe. She is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
Friends may make memorials to the Perry County Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
