She is survived by: her son Joseph Gassel (Heather) of Du Quoin; and her siblings, Rodney Carrothers (Ruth) of Du Quoin, Jeff Carrothers (Vanessa) of Du Quoin and Gayla Self (Jason) of Carbondale. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, adopted grandchildren, adopted great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
