He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley M. and Mary E. Schwengel (Conley); and his brother Phillip Schwengel. He is survived by: his children, Erika Lynn Clements (Joe) of Baxter, TN and Jon Andrew Schwengel (Emily) of Portage, MI; his grandchildren, Ellie Whitlock (Carson) of Knoxville, TN, Jake Clements of Baxter, TN, Grace Schwengel of Portage, MI, Caroline Schwengel of Portage, MI and Emma Schwengel of Portage, MI; his great grandchild Annie Whitlock; his brother Marc Schwengel (Yvonne) of Opdyke, IL; and his sister-in-law Sharon Schwengel (Tammy Austin) of Tuscola.

Friends may make memorials to Brush Creek Campground, Thompsonville Community of Christ Church, or Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and will be accepted at the funeral home.
