He was predeceased by: his parents, John Weldon and Jewel Dean Halstead (Stelle); his wife Judith Kay Knowles; his daughter Paula Hays; and his grandchildren, Whitney Halstead and Stacy Hays.
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn Halstead (Henry Stockton), Amy Halstead (Kirk Parrish) and Erin Williams (Harold) of Jackson, MO; his stepson Jeff Miller (Jessi) of Energy, IL; his grandchildren, Lloyd Thomas Stockton, Ally Gillespie, Gabe Alvarez, Brooklyn Nycole McMullen, Meghan Kay Halstead, John Phillip Fluharty, Adam James Fluharty, Matthew Liam Fluharty, Nathaniel Williams and Genevieve Williams; his siblings, Benny Halstead of Uneeda, WV, Sarah Ann Hartsock of Hallidayboro, Lucy Mae Julius of Rochester, MN and Mary Lou Hall of Carlsbad, NM; and his close friends, Donald Lovel, LaVerne Rees, Larry Hickman, Les StCin and Elkville Christian Church.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elkville Christian Church (114 S 2nd St, Elkville, IL 62932). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
