He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Milam and Lila Milam (Digman); and his siblings, William Roy "Bud" Milam, June Armando, Norma Nurnberger and Mary Ann Shafer.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Valier; his children, Elaine Kirchner of Du Quoin and Robert Milam (Sheree) of Ft. Branch, IN; his grandchildren, Andrew Hayes of Du Quoin, Timia Ellis (William, III) of Mt. Carmel, Jeanellen Grant (Jacob Schenimann) of Cape Girardeau, Coy Kirchner of Centralia, Jonathan Milam of Ft. Branch, IN, Stanton Milam of Ft. Branch, IN, Calleigh Kirchner of Du Quoin and Nevaeh Kirchner of Du Quoin; his great grandchildren, Alexis, Ava, Jace, Weston, Steven, Zayen, Ruby and Kryton; and his brother Ben Milam (Bonnie) of Marissa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
