He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Christopher and Marie Mae Luthy (Bagley); and his siblings, Charles Luthy and Carolyn Luthy. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Jane Hemmer; his children, Janice Zakinski (Stan) of Du Quoin, Jackie Mills (Wayne) of New Douglas, IL, David Luthy (Andrea) of Du Quoin and Joe Luthy (Christina) of Virginia Beach, VA; his siblings, Dan Luthy (Diana) of Willisville, Bill Luthy (Peggy) of Pinckneyville and Sherilyn Bruns (Ed) of Pinckneyville; and his grandchildren, Jennie Cook (Kenny), Jesse Zakinski (Karley), Jennifer Church (Roger), Debi Mills, Summer Vanderbilt (Matt), Caseton Luthy (Ayla), Abbey Luthy and Brittany Stanton (Jacob). He is also survived by six great grandchildren.

Friends may make memorials to the Dowell Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
