It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Wayer of Du Quoin, Illinois, born in Alto Pass, Illinois, who passed away on May 23, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Lee and Pearl Lee (Wrolen); her children, Lisa Rightnowar and Joe Wayer; her son-in-law Dean George; her great grandchildren, Cody Crispin, Nora Wayer and Baby Wayer; and her siblings, Nelson Lee, Linda Lee and Jimmy Lee.

She is survived by: her husband Clarence Wayer; her children, Jack Wayer (Pam) of Rainbow City, AL, David Wayer (Rose) of Elkville, Gayla Wayer of Du Quoin, Sherry George of Du Quoin, Doug Wayer (Lana) of Mulkeytown and Libby Tilley (Dennis) of Du Quoin; her siblings, Mary Jane Phillips of Rives, TN and Ray Lee of Missouri; and her half-sisters, Mary Burchyett of St. Louis, MO and Martha Newton of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, two step grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, eleven step great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
