He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVern "Twee" Bailey and Naomi Bernice Bailey (Bishop); and his siblings, Jim Bailey, Mary Ellen Roach and Naomi Cooper.

He is survived by: his wife Sherry Lynn Longshore; his children, Rhonda Fleming (Dana) of Du Quoin, Kevin Bailey (Suzanne) of Du Quoin, Lisa Lansford (Jamie) of Poplar Bluff, MO and George Bailey, Jr. (Cary) of Du Quoin; his grandchildren, Josh Fleming (Jaymee), Jeremy Fleming, Cody Bailey, Chloe Bailey, Jordan Lansford and Dawson Lansford; and his great grandchildren, Ty Fleming and Dagan Fleming. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may make memorials to the Spirit of Life Christian Church or the Vision Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
