She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Kirk and Helen Marie Kirk (Sanders); her spouse Lee Teel; her son-in-law Douglas Pelker; her brother Jerry Kirk; and her sister-in-law Yvonne Kirk.

She is survived by: her daughter Cheryl Pelker of Du Quoin; her grandson Justin Pelker (Penny) of Herrin; her great grandchildren, Talan of Herrin, Marlee of Herrin, Huntlee of Herrin and Deagan of Herrin; her brother Dennis Kirk of Johnston City; and her nephew Brian Kirk of Johnston City.

Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to the Perry County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
