It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Eugene Buhrmester of Du Quoin, Illinois, born in Nashville, Illinois, who passed away on June 4, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Buhrmester and Janice Buhrmester (Richards); his former wife Roberta Wreath; his spouse Shirley Rowell (Fisher); his brother Robert Buhrmester; and his sister-in-law Grace Buhrmester.

He is survived by: his daughter Donna Kay Buhrmester of Nashville, IL; his stepchildren, Denise McWhorter of Du Quoin and Charles Rowell (Christina) of Dowell; and his brothers, Leslie Buhrmester of Avon, IN and Ray Buhrmester (Tona) of Shelbyville, IL. He is also survived by five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may make memorials to the Perry County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
