We are sad to announce that on August 10, 2023, at the age of 93, Donald D. Barrett of Du Quoin, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Barrett and Jewel Barrett (Dearing); his wife Loretta L. Smith; his brother Leon; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara (Gene Cavins), Teresa Zoller (Charles) and Charlotte Smith.

He is survived by: his daughter Diane Extine (Kevin); his grandchildren, Jordan, Hunter (Christina) and Jessica Extine (Charlie Ottinger); and his great grandchildren, Nahla, Steven, Reagan and Brinley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
