He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Velma Irene Wright (Smith); his siblings, Don Wright and Doris Schwinn; and his parents-in-law, Elmer and Emma Mae Stephens.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Ann Stephens; his son Brett Allen Wright (Lauana) of Du Quoin; his grandsons, Joshua Steve Wright (Heather Hill) of Du Quoin and Dustin Blake Wright (Tomi Hamlin) of Du Quoin; his great grandchildren, Harper Maya Wright of Du Quoin and Jude Hadlee Wright of Du Quoin; and his siblings-in-law, Tom and Ruth Stephens of Christopher.
