He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Abner Duncan and Nell Duncan (Dawson); his sisters, Ruth (Tommy), Maurine and Dorothy; his children, Mindy Morrison (Ed) of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Rex Duncan (Linda) of Du Quoin and David Duncan (Cyndi) of Wood River, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Nate, Drew Morrison, Paul, Thomas, Susan Duncan, Kristin Duncan and Robin Murphy; and his great grandchildren, Violet, Everett and Riyan.
In Dawson's memory, memorials may be made to the Perry County Humane Society or the First Christian Church of Du Quoin.
