He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Martin and Rita J. Martin (Eisenhauer); his grandparents, Herman, Mary Eisenhauer, Joseph and Mary Martin; and his brother-in-law Howard Isaacs.

He is survived by: his wife Jenny Sue Black; his daughters, Shonna Spencer (Jeff) of Du Quoin, Jennifer Martin of Marion and Andrea Martin of Du Quoin; his grandchildren, Alexandra Spencer of Du Quoin, Jonah Spencer of Du Quoin, Cameron Spencer (Makaylah) of Du Quoin, Blayke Spencer of Du Quoin, Grace Martin of Marion, Jaxson Hawthorne of Du Quoin, Hatilyn Holmes of Cape Girardeau, MO and Crue Michael Hawthorne of Du Quoin; his great grandchildren, Lucy Martin Milam of Du Quoin, Makenna Milam of Du Quoin, Evie Spencer of Du Quoin, Hendrix Spencer of Du Quoin and Bennett David Spencer of Du Quoin; and his siblings, Carol Isaacs of Pinckneyville, Kay Baker (Steve) of Waterloo, IL, Allen Martin (Sharon) of Du Quoin and Mary Beth Lane (Joe) of Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Sacred Heart Catholic Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
