He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard "Mitch" Gilliam and Mary Kay Gilliam (Isaac); his brother David Gilliam; and his siblings-in-law, Rhonda Gilliam and Noble Heinrich.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Rae Brock; his children, Danny Gilliam (Tina) of Nason, Gene Gilliam (Melissa) of Du Quoin and Amy Martin (Chris) of Du Quoin; his grandchildren, Chelsea Gilliam of Carbondale, Chandra Cummins (Dakota) of Anna, Chance Gilliam of Carbondale, Tyler Gilliam of Marion, Jessica Dusch (Cody) of Du Quoin and Gage Martin of Du Quoin; his great grandchildren, Elijah, Savannah, Mayzlie, Adilynn and Camreigh; his siblings, Kay Heinrich of Peoria, Marsha Pippen (Gary) of Scheller, Norma Jean Messer of Du Quoin, Richard "Rich" Gilliam (Brenda) of Du Quoin, Robert "Bob" Gilliam of Tamaroa and Janet Kujawa (Charlie) of Radom; his nephew Robby Gilliam of Tamaroa; and his close friend Bill Brown of Du Quoin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may make memorials to the V.F.W. Post 513 and will be accepted at the funeral home.
