Carolyn J. Porter Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn J. Porter of Du Quoin, Illinois, born in Centralia, Illinois, who passed away on March 25, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Hight and Norma Ruth Hight (Heyduck); her husband Raymond A. Porter; and her granddaughter Michelle Hawkins. She is survived by: her children, Karen Wolfe (Joe) of Du Quoin, Ron Porter (Laura) of Du Quoin, Lynn Hugus (Scott McKee) of Palm Harbor, FL and Jill Hester (Richard) of Du Quoin; her grandchildren, Matt Wolfe (Audra), Andrea Wolfe, Trampas Porter (Jessie), Jennifer Bleyer (AJ), Chance Hugus, Blake Hester (Ashlee) and Blair Collum (Chris); and her brother Bob Hight (Mary Ann) of Ft. Myers, FL. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends may make memorials to First United Methodist Church, Marshall Browning Hospital Tree of Life or Du Quoin Food Pantry and will be accepted at the funeral home.
