It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bruce Wayne Summers (Du Quoin, Illinois), born in Walla Walla, Washington, who passed away on March 27, 2019, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Summers and Lois V. Summers (Baxter); his spouse Brenda Kay Hemmer; and his brother Rob. He is survived by: his children, Amy Atteberry (Kevin) of Du Quoin, Craig Summers (Alice) of Brookfield, WI, Ryan Summers (JoC) of Pinckneyville and Brooke Ramsey (Nick) of Pinckneyville; and his close friend Betty Roethe of Du Quoin. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorials to the Du Quoin Youth Club, Du Quoin Gold Plate, Bethel Lutheran Church, or the organization of choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
