She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiley Thompson and Madge Thompson (Cockrum); her husband Vito T. Riggio; and her son-in-law Edgar Huite. She is survived by: her children, Pete H. Riggio of Du Quoin and Grace Huite of Foley, AL; her grandchildren, Aimee Huite-Devole (Cary Devole) of Foley, AL and Kreg Huite (Teresa) of Foley, AL; her great grandchildren, Makayla Huite of Foley, AL, Orrie Huite of Foley, AL and Casper Huite of Foley, AL; and her pet Tootsie.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Searby Funeral Homes (130 S Washington St, Du Quoin, IL 62832). A rosary was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (100 W Main St, Du Quoin, IL 62832).
Friends may make memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Masses, or Paradise Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
