He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Brown and Thelma Brown (Cross); and his siblings, Wilma Kennedy and Frank Brown. He is survived by: his spouse Jean Davis; his sons, Mark Brown (Debra) of Du Quoin, Matthew Brown (Gina) of Du Quoin, Stephen Brown (Tracy) of Du Quoin, David Brown (Shannon) of Jerseyville, IL and James Brown (Gina) of Holdrege, NE; his grandchildren, Jennifer Cullivan (Ryan), Trace Allan Brown, Matthew Brown (Jamie), Lindsay Sherill (Derek), Ryan Brown (Gabbie), Jared Brown, Connor Brown, Cameryn Brown, Ellie Bacon (Mark) and Kaylin Brown; and his great grandchildren, Jayden Brown, Parker Brown, Maddox Brown, Layna Sherill, Jacob Sherill and Casey Brown.

Friends may make memorials to First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the church or the funeral home.
