He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Nippe and Goldie Nippe (Gill); and his siblings, Lulu Belle Nippe, Harold Nippe, Eugene Nippe and James Nippe.

He is survived by: his wife Deloris M. Hatfield; his children, Patricia Nippe of Du Bois, Holly Nippe of Tamaroa, Christine Nippe of O'Fallon, MO and Ricky Nippe of Du Bois; his grandchildren, Payton Nippe of Pinckneyville and Bailey Bathon (Jake) of Pinckneyville; and his great grandchild Drew Bathon.
