Delmar Dean Stanger Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delmar Dean Stanger of Downs, Illinois, born in Bloomington, Illinois, who passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Stanger and Daisy Turner Stanger; his daughter Bonita Sue; his grandson Shawn Twyford; and his siblings, Charlotte Stanger, Eloise Epperson, Marilyn Leary, Alma Jean Lauritson and Turner Stanger.

He is survived by: his wife Janiece Romine; his children, Charlotte Twyford (Toby) of Downs and Bradley Stanger (Debbie) of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Dawn Pillow (Jamie) of Cooksville, Tyler Stanger of Bloomington, Ben Flurer of Bloomington and Daniel Twyford of Normal; and his great grandchildren, Charlee Pillow of Cooksville and Kacie Twyford of Normal. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Downs American Legion Post 1150 or Downs United Methodist Church.
