It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David G. Roop of Downs, Illinois, born in Normal, Illinois, who passed away on May 31, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Graham Roop and Mary Roop (Cole); his daughter Mary Gail; his son-in-law Roger Hinthorn; and his sister Shirley Roop.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Dunlap; his children, David Bruce Roop (Ronda), Ivan Bret Roop (Michelle) and Jenny Lynn Curtis (Greg); and his brother-in-law Ike Dunlap. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
